Victor Kiprop, a sophomore at Alabama representing Kenya, captured back-to-back men's 10,000-meter titles at the Southeastern Conference Championships by clocking 29:58.43 at LSU's Bernie Moore Track and Field Stadium in Baton Rouge. Kiprop is the first repeat winner in the men's 10,000 since Auburn's Ben Cheruiyot in 2010-11, and the first back-to-back champion for Alabama since Tyson David in 2008-09. It marked the sixth consecutive 10,000 championship for the Crimson Tide, the longest streak in the conference since Arkansas won nine in a row from 1992-2000.
